EPISODE 201 - Old Montreal Lofts - Montreal, Quebec

The first loft is an opulent space built in a former Synagogue. This five level loft includes an indoor lap pool, a hand painted cathedral ceiling, Egyptian chandeliers and a roof top deck with a panoramic view of Old Montreal. The second loft was designed with padded leather doors, a stainless steel bathroom waterfall, built in art and a paper chandelier. Then a medieval style loft that includes one of a kind sculptures, a bathroom grotto and a suspended kitchen island.

EPISODE 202 - New Museum/Colt Building Lofts - New York/Hartford

The first feature, located on Broadway Avenue, is an enormous space decorated with warm yellows, rich wooden antiques and art from around the world. The second loft offers a modern, luxurious interior that instills a calmness that contrasts the busy city below. Then we head to Hartford, Connecticut where we visit the home of a sculptor and furniture designer. His loft includes some very strange creations including: a chair that looks like an open book, a psychedelic coke machine, and an upside down Christmas Tree permanently fastened to the ceiling.

EPISODE 203 - Emeryville/Soma Lofts - San Francisco, California

The first loft is located across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco in the small town of Emeryville. Two young architects saw potential in a former factory and transformed it into a magnificent family loft with strong industrial overtones. Then we head back into the city and visit a spectacular three level loft that incorporates calming oriental and Italian nuances into a modern design. The third loft is a fanciful space full of oversized furniture and a kitchen designed for a gourmet chef.

EPISODE 204 - Niagara/Creed Lofts - Toronto, Ontario

First we feature a 2200 square foot loft designed with modern Italian furnishings and a wrap around deck overlooking a quaint park. Then we check out the Creed Building, a former fur vault, built in the 1920's and now 19 original loft residences. We look at two lofts here. One is a 2,100 square foot space with a dramatic entrance, an angled fireplace and a very bold colour palette. The other is located on the ground level. The curved windows at the front of this historic building create an inviting feel leading into the space - perfect for the owner’s knitwear design business.

EPISODE 205 - Seaport Lofts - Boston, Massachusetts

Our first loft combines historic windows from England, an old barbershop pole and a soap stone kitchen sink with modern furnishings to create an outstanding loft space. Our second loft is truly a creation of it’s owner, a woodworker by trade. He runs a custom furniture shop from the back of his space. With these skills he has taken a hands on approach to loft living and designed and created everything in his space. Our third loft is home to two artists who have created a dramatic live/work space that displays both their art and their talent for design.

EPISODE 206 - Holland Street/Garage Loft - Ottawa / Montreal

Our first feature is a 2400 square foot penthouse loft with a large skylight and exterior deck that overlooks the city. It has been beautifully designed with distinctive modern finishes. In the same building we visit the ground floor loft of a young computer genius who has customized his entire space to suit his freewheeling lifestyle. This former mountain bike racer used his creative flare and lots of ingenuity to build this clutter free haven. Then we head to Montreal to meet a fascinating artist who removed the hydraulic lifts from a former garage to make the perfect live/work studio to create jam art.

EPISODE 207 - Soma Lofts - San Francisco, California

The first loft is located in an old wine storage warehouse in the heart of the South of Market district of San Francisco. It is a charming 2400 square foot space that includes a raised bedroom villa surrounded by sliding windows that open up to the space below. Our second loft, located down the hall, is an innovative space that includes translucent bathroom floors, a large curved mezzanine level and practical yet beautiful hallway storage. Then we head to ‘Lizland’ where a new age artist uses her two level loft to transform old computer parts into unusual robotic looking creations.
